Lauren Duski has secured herself a spot in the Top 12 of The Voice Season 12 with an understated performance of Bryan White's "Someone Else's Star" on Monday (April 17).

Competing as a member of team Blake Shelton, Duski honored her country roots with the performance of White's song, which served as his first No. 1 hit when he released it as a single in 1994.

The promising contestant did the country star proud with her interpretation. Perched on a stool in the middle of the stage donning a lovely tangerine-colored gown, Duski delivered an intimate performance of the poignant hit, showing off her amazing vocals and impressive range. The White track is a strong fit for her voice, showcasing a different facet of the contestant's talent and allowing her standout voice to shine.

Adam Levine told Duski that she's always been one of his favorites, but gave her the ultimate compliment when he said that "the moment I knew you could make it really far" was when she hit the first note and offered a soaring performance from there. But her coach, Shelton, really drove it home when he said that she is bound to see a "tidal wave of support" from country music fans, as the genre is all about being "believable" and "delivering a solid performance" — two descriptions she fit perfectly.

Shelton's predictions were spot on, as Duski was voted through to the next round by viewers at home. Sadly, fellow country queen and team Shelton member Casi Joy was sent packing after her statement-making performance of Chris Stapleton's "Parachute."

The Voice airs Monday and Tuesday nights at 8PM ET on NBC.
