The legendary Texas singer/songwriter Gary P. Nunn is coming to Texarkana on August 26, 2017 at Scottie's Grill.

If you're from the state of Texas chances are you know who Gary P. Nunn is. A legendary icon who has been a household name with Texans for more than 40 years. Nunn was the founding father of the Texas country sound coming out of Austin in the 1970s. His song "London Homesick Blues" became the signature theme song for the PBS show "Austin City Limits," for years.

After winning numerous prestigious awards throughout the state of Texas Nunn was inducted into the Texas Hall of Fame in 2004. In 2007 he was honored by Governor Rick Perry as the "Music Ambassador of Texas." And most recently he was honored with the 2017 Ameripolitan Award for "Honky-Tonk Band of the Year"at a ceremony in Austin on Feb. 15. Nunn also just finished writing a book and it will be released in September and he's getting ready for his 5th Annual Gary P. Nunn Belize Bash Sept. 7-10.
