Arkansas could stand to improve in a few key areas to receive a higher ranking on this list.

When it comes to starting or adding to your family, there are a lot of questions that come to mind when deciding where to do it. Even though my husband and I don't have kids yet, we thought of how we want them raise and the kind of environment we want to influence them. This can sometimes be determined by the city you choose to live in.

That's where WalletHub comes in.

After seeing the results of their "Best & Worst Places to Raise a Family" list we know that Arkansas, specifically Little Rock, could stand to do some work for its families. Little Rock landed in the bottom half of the list at number 113.

WalletHub looked at key areas like health, safety, education, child care, affordability, and fun activities. Little Rock struggled the most in the health and safety department, ranking 148 out of 150. However, the only city in Arkansas to make the list also struggled with fun activities as well as education and child care, landing in the bottom third in each.
