The nationwide "Click it or Ticket" campaign begins May 21 and continues through Memorial Day and officers in Texas will be zeroing in on pickup trucks.

According to the Texas Transportation Institute, only 80% of pickup truck drivers buckle up, compared to 90% of drivers of other vehicles.

Remember, in Texas, ALL occupants of the vehicle must be wearing a seat belt. Fines for non-compliance can be pricey, ranging from $25 up to $250.

The national "Click it or Ticket" runs from May 21 through June 3. It's designed to emphasize the ease, and cost effectiveness of using a seat belt.
