According to the Texas Transportation Institute, only 80% of pickup truck drivers buckle up, compared to 90% of drivers of other vehicles.

Remember, in Texas, ALL occupants of the vehicle must be wearing a seat belt. Fines for non-compliance can be pricey, ranging from $25 up to $250.

The national "Click it or Ticket" runs from May 21 through June 3. It's designed to emphasize the ease, and cost effectiveness of using a seat belt.
