Local Fight Against Lupus Includes Golf Scramble, Raffle and Live Music

Thanks to Sandy Tutt and Erica Visser for joining us on the Wakeup Crew this morning to tell us about all the ways you can help fight Lupus coming up soon here in Texarkana.

First up it's the 2nd annual "Drive Out Lupus" 2-Man Scramble Golf Tournament, Saturday, March 25 at the Oak Grove Golf Club on the Red River Army Depot. The 18-hole tournament will include awards for 1st Place, Longest Drive, Closest to the Hole and Longest Putt. Plus door prizes, Hole in One prize of $20,000 and more.

The $120 per team fee includes cart and lunch, and all tournament proceeds will benefit the Lupus Foundation of America.

Sandy's Soldiers are also presenting a Fundraiser For the Lupus Foundation of America on Saturday, April 1 from 6 - 10PM at Pecan Point Gastropub & Brewery at 213 Main St. next to the Perot Theater. Your $5 donation at the door gets you some terrific live music from The Moss Brothers Band. You can also enter the bartender competition (for a separate donation) and all proceeds go to the Lupus Foundation.

While you're at those events be sure you pick up a raffle ticket for a chance to win one of three great prizes; Henry Golden Boy Lever Action Rifle in .22LR, Hand Crafted Porch Swing or a great Date Night Out Package to Pecan Point, Smallcakes Cupcakery and Cinemark. Tickets are just $5 each.
