Local Nursing Center Hosting ‘Socks For Seniors’ Sock Drive

It's that time of year where you can help out various organizations around the area who are collecting assorted items for people in need. One organization is "Socks for Seniors," hosted by the Heritage Plaza Nursing Center located at 600 West 52nd Street.This sock drive provides socks for the elderly and those in need at senior centers, nursing homes, homeless shelters, and churches. Socks will be accepted beginning tomorrow through Dec. 23 and will be distributed on Dec. 26 until the socks are all gone.  Currently the sock drop box is at Heritage Plaza at 600 W. 52^nd Street, Texarkana, Texas, with more drop box locations to be added soon. Let's help our senior citizens out because if it were your grandparents in need you know you would.
