Lot’s of Fun For Kids At ‘Sparks in the Park’
The Clock Is Ticking and counting down to family fun… Time for Sparks in the Park 2012! The 10th annual Sparks in the Park Independence Day Celebration is this Saturday June 30 at the Four States Fairgrounds. This year it’s scheduled on the 30th because we want to make sure you can be there!
The City of Texarkana Arkansas and Townsquare Media have teamed up once again for a great day of fun! And did we mention, it’s free! schedule of events is lined out for adult and especially for the kids, check out.
The Fishing Derby will starting at 10 a.m. at Bobby Ferguson Park.
It all gets started at 4 p.m.
There will be fun for the entire family! Kids will love the petting zoo, bounce houses, rock climbing walls and more! Games for the kids will start at 6 p.m.
Including the Balloon Toss, The Beach Ball Waddle, Sack races and More plus the kids get neat toys and prizes for participating.
Be sure to dress in Red, White and Blue for the Abernathy Star Spangled Costume Contest in four categories: Children 12 and under, 13 and older, family, and group.
The Patriotic Strollers and Rollers Contest is for decorated kids strollers and wagons. You can enter the contests between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. the evening of Sparks in the Park. You can also download the entry forms here! Just remember to bring it to the fairgrounds with you!
Live music will start at 5 p.m with music by Jemiah Cannon, The Kosmic Girlz and Copper Road & More
Let’s not forget The Main Attraction, the fireworks? This year the Fireworks Show will be bigger better and longer than before! and is scheduled to start at 9:30 p.m.! It’s gonna be Hot Fun In the Summertime, So bring your sunglasses, suntan lotion, lawn chairs and get ready for a lot of fun at this years Sparks In The Park. We’ll see you there
