Lukas Nelson and his band Promise of the Real took the stage at Austin City Limits recently, to play a sweet and smooth version of their song "(Forget About) Georgia." Readers can press play above to get an exclusive first glimpse into Nelson and his band's set before the double-billed episode that they share with Kacey Musgraves airs on Saturday (Nov. 10).

Nelson is joined by brother Micah (both sons of the legendary Willie Nelson) and the rest of Promise of the Real for this mellow performance, which showcases the transcendent talents of the entire group: Nelson, drummer Anthony LoGerfo, bassist Corey McCormick, multi-instrumentalist Jesse Siebenberg, keyboard player Logan Metz and percussionist Tato Melgar. It was Nelson and PotR's debut performance for ACL, as the band continues to gain momentum with their mesmerizing live shows and trademark country-meets-rock-meets-folk-meets-blues fusion.

Nelson & Promise of the Real keep a full tour schedule in addition to the other projects they have undertaken, including a Western film entitled Paradox, which Nelson and his band joined his father and music legend Neil Young, an artist for whom the band has opened, to create. They've also served as Young's backing band and recorded two albums, plus the Paradox soundtrack, with him; the band has released four albums of their own as well, and Nelson wrote a number of songs for the recent A Star Is Born film starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga.

Austin City Limits airs weekly on PBS stations nationwide; additionally, full episodes will be made available for a limited time following the broadcast on PBS' website. Visit that website to find broadcast details for your area.
