Magic Springs Theme Park Introduces Splash Island For 2013
Now that warmer weather is here and summer is right around the corner one of my favorite places to take the family is Magic Springs Water and Theme Park in Hot Springs, Ark. Takes about 90 minutes to get to the Spa City from Texarkana for some magical moments you and your family will never forget. This year the park is proud to introduce the opening of Splash Island, a giant interactive water play structure.
The structure is more than four stories tall and features 10 colorful water slides and a gigantic tipping bucket that dumps 1,000 gallons of water every 10 minutes on funseekers at the park. The new structure also has slides, bubbler jets, water wheels, tipping buckets, water curtains, net climbs, pools and waterfalls. That is going to feel so refreshing on a hot day this summer. Splash Island is expected to open Memorial Day weekend.
Over the past few years, Magic Springs continues to upgrade it’s facilities and the Splash Island expansion is the fourth major attraction to be constructed in the destination’s water park since 2007. If you want to save a ton a money the best deal is a Magic Springs Season Pass, priced at $74.99, allows for unlimited visits to the park plus up to 18 free shows at their concert series at Timberwood Theater. I don’t know about you but major concert tickets alone these days cost more than that. So to get all that is offered in a season pass it’s pretty much a no brainer.
With plenty of thrill rides, kid and family rides on site Magic Springs is the perfect weekend getaway or vacation destination. The water park features include the Boogie Blast surf attraction, a wave pool, body slides, tube slides, racing slides, and other rides.
