Three new movies are in theaters this weekend -- an action drama, and two comedies. I'm a huge Melissa McCarthy fan so I'm going with "The Boss" for my pick this weekend.

Story: (Melissa McCarthy) plays wealthy mogul Michelle Darnell who is at the top of her game and living the high life until she gets caught for insider trading and sent off to the big house. When she is released from prison, she has nothing, is hated and homeless so she tracks down a former assistant Claire (Kristen Bell) for help. Claire lets her stay with her and her young daughter Rachel while she devises a plan for a new business venture that involves Girl Scouts, brownies and a willingness to change her wicked ways.

Story: With no memory of his former life, a man wakes up from being dead in a Moscow laboratory only to discover he's a half-human, half robot hybrid. A woman who claims to be his wife tells him that his name is Henry but before she can activate his voice, armed bandits kidnap her. You can only imagine what ensues now that Henry has some new abilities he sets out on a bloody rampage to save his wife and the destruction of the world.

Story: Does this sound familiar? Crime becomes legal for a 12-hour period just when a man played by (Mike Epps) moves his family from Chicago to Beverly Hills, Calif., in hopes of a better life. Instead an all out raucous of mishaps occurs as he tries to protect his family from the purge.
