The unofficial kick-off to the summer season starts this Memorial Holiday Weekend at Magic Springs in Hot Springs, Ark. The "Summer Concert Series" begins with the Marshall Tucker Band and the Kentucky Headhunters on Saturday, May,25.

The concert is free if you have a season pass or you purchase a gate admission. The Marshall Tucker Band was a part of the early 70s southern rock movement and if you're from the South you most likely grew listening to this band.  MTB best known for their hits, "Can't You See" "Fire on the Mountain" "Searchin' for a Rainbow." Many of their songs have been featured in numerous TV show and movies throughout the years.

Unfortunately, several original band members passed away including drummer Tommy Caldwell, his brother lead vocalist Toy Caldwell in 1993 and rhythm guitarist George McCorkie in 2007, according to Wikipedia.

However, the remaining members along with some new members continue to live out the legacy of The Marshall Tucker Band all across the U.S.

The Kentucky Headhunters are best knownfor their chart topping hits, "Dumas Walker" "Chitlin' Time" "Walk Softly on This Heart of Mine" "Oh Lonesome Me," and more. With a GRAMMY Award, CMA Album of the Year Award, two CMA Vocal Group of the Year Awards, two Top 10 charting albums, and four consecutive Top 40 hits, their international success spans multiple genres. The “Heads” are credited for creating a unique blend of honky-tonk, blues, and southern rock that appeals to fans of all kinds.
