The Miller County Sheriff's Office has arrested a local resident for allegedly growing marijuana on his property.

Tuesday, detectives with the BI State Narcotics Task Force received information concerning a possible marijuana growing operation in the county. During the investigation, detectives learned that Michael Harrell, who lives on Miller County Road 469 in Fouke, Ark,, was allegedly growing marijuana behind his residence.

Miller County Deputies and members of the Bi State Narcotics Task Force, located what they report as several mature marijuana plants. The marijuana was reportedly planted in buckets behind the suspect's residence. Detectives also say they located equipment used in the manufacturing process.

Harrell was arrested on charges of Manufacturing of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana) and is being held at the Miller County Detention Center.

The Bi State Narcotics Task Force is comprised of detectives from Miller County Sheriff’s Office and Texarkana, Arkansas Police Department.
