The Miller County Sheriff's Office reports an arrest has been made in an aggravated robbery case dating back to May.

According to a release, on May 22, an aggravated robbery occurred at the Venus Adult Boutique Store located at 6700 block of State Highway 108.  Two masked armed gunmen entered into the store brandishing their weapons and demanded money.  The two suspects left with an undisclosed amount of money.

During this three-month investigation, numerous items of evidence were collected and sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for analysis.  The investigation has led to the identification of one of the suspects, 27-year-old Travon Mandel Peoples.  A warrant of arrest was obtained for Peoples, and he was subsequently arrested by the Texarkana Texas Police Department.  He is now awaiting extradition to Miller County, Arkansas.

The investigation is still ongoing and additional warrants are forthcoming.  The Miller County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind everyone that if you have information about this crime or any other crime to please contact the sheriff’s office at 870-774-3001 or Crime Stoppers at 903-793-STOP.
