Miller County Suspects Arrested in Alleged Boat Theft Case
The Miller County Sheriffs Office says they have arrested three males in connection with the alleged theft of a boat from a residence in the county.
According to the Sheriffs Office, they were contacted by the victim on, August 23. The homeowner reported the theft of his boat from a residence on Highway 196 in the Genoa Area. Miller County Investigators began conducting interviews and seeking persons of interest.
Miller County Investigators worked with Sgt. Zach White of the Texarkana, Arkansas Police Department who had a similar attempted boat theft earlier in the week.
On August 30, Investigators Sam McJunkins and Thomas Whitt located the stolen boat, that had been submerged in a small pond on Yespe Lane in Miller County. Working in conjunction with personnel from the Booker Bridge and Bright Star Volunteer Fire Departments, the boat was successfully recovered from the pond.
Further investigation led to the arrest of 28 year old Bryan Wilson, 29 year old Seth Shonkwiler, and 40 year old David Fleming, all of Miller County. They face various charges and the investigation is continuing.
