A frustrated Imperial, Missouri mother desperate to help her son stop using heroin confronted the man she believed was selling her son the drug. What happened during the confrontation now has this mother in hot water with the law.

According to the St Louis Post-Dispatch, while confronting the suspected drug dealer in his driveway, he went to his friends car and retrieved an unknown item. That's when she pulled an aluminum baseball bat out of her car. As he walked towards her, she swung it at him and struck him. When he started coming towards her again, she struck him again and told him to stay away from her family.

The young man (age 21) reported the incident to the police and now the mother is being prosecuted by the state.

Here's what happened according to the mother:

She was arraigned Monday on a charge of third-degree assault in Jefferson County Circuit Court.

A Facebook page was created called "Stand with Sherrie Gavin" by an anonymous person and I also found this on Craigslist.

I applaud this mother. If I were in her shoes, I'm afraid I might have done worse. Hopefully, justice will prevail in this case. What do you think?
