Mom Arrested for Leaving 9 Month Old in Vehicle

Texarkana, Texas Police say a 21 year old mother has been arrested allegedly leaving her 9 month old baby girl in an unattended vehicle.Officers were called to the 2800 block of New Boston Road in reference to a baby left unattended inside a vehicle. As they arrived police met 21 year old Haleigh Wright of Texarkana, Texas rushing out to her vehicle to meet with them.

Authorities say one window in the vehicle was rolled down approximately three inches. It was determined that Wright had been shopping inside a business for about 15 minutes. Police say the outside temperature was 96 degrees at the time of the incident. Wright was arrested for endangering a child and booked into the Bi-State Justice Center Jail and bond set at $100,000. The child was released to family members.
