Mom Takes 5 Year Old Daughter to Tanning Salon. Faces Jail Time [VIDEO]

A mother in New Jersey has been arrested for second degree child endangerment after taking her daughter to a tanning salon, something she claims she's done for years.

The mom claims the child never went into the tanning booth, but stayed in the room with her while she tanned. The woman was arrested after a teacher overheard the little girl say she had been tanning with mommy. The teacher noticed the girl had a sun burn and put the two together and called police. The parents say it's all a big misunderstanding.

Here's the report from the Today Show. After watching it, I'm thinking the mom should probably take a break from tanning for awhile.. wow....
