Historic Washington State Park begins the annual summer concert series “Music in the Park” with the theme “America in Conflict” on June 21, featuring The Heritage Brass Band, a volunteer reenactment band based in Dallas, Texas. Dressed in authentic uniforms, they play period music from the Civil War, Indian Wars, and WWII. Learn more at heritagebrassband.org/. Come early and enjoy “Washington’s Farmer’s Market” and “Family Fun Day”, with activities all day long for children and adults to participate in for FREE. The Farmer’s Market opens at 7 a.m. with the park opening at 8 a.m. and free programs begin at 9 a.m.

Bring your lawn chairs or blanket to spread on the grounds of the 1874 Courthouse by 7:30 p.m. on concert dates. The gift shop will be open for refreshments and Williams’ Tavern Restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. for dining. For more information call 870-983-2684.
