Hey chocolate lovers. Have you heard the news?

The Nestle USA based company has become the first major candy manufacturer to commit to removing artificial flavors and FDA-certified colors from all of its chocolate candy products. This means that all Nestle brands like Butterfinger, Crunch, Baby Ruth and others will be free of artificial flavors and colors.

Leslie Mohr, Nutrition, Health and Wellness Manager says "Taste, appearance and price will not change. Maintaining the great taste and appearance consumers expect from the chocolate brands they know and love is our number one priority. Research on our brands, like Butterfinger, shows that candy consumers care about artificial flavors and colors. Nestlé is the world’s leading nutrition, health and wellness company and our commitment to removing artificial flavors and FDA-certified colors from our chocolate candy brands is an important milestone.”

Products will begin appearing on store shelves by mid-2015 and will be labeled "No Artificial Flavors or Colors."
