New Bakery in Texarkana Now Open for Business [Video]

Everybody loves a good bakery. And now Texarkana has a new bakery located at 1201 Arkansas Blvd next to Burger & More. Twice as Nice Cakes & More is now open for business and I stopped by last Friday to see what the new store had to offer.

Boy, was I glad I did! Not only did I enjoy the smell walking through the doors, but all the baked goods in the glass cases caught my eye. Everything from freshly made cakes, brownies, cookies, muffins, pies, dipped fruit and more. Lacy Davis, the owner treated ne to some red velvet cake balls that were delightfully delicious. Davis, who used to work for another bakery in town is so excited to own her bakery. When the opportunity came along for her to own her bakery she jumped at the chance. Family owned and operated, her mother Crystal also works at the bakery.

"It's a mother/daughter relationship I am most proud of, being able to run a business with mom by my side," said, Davis.

Twice as Nice Cakes & More specializes in special events, weddings, birthdays, and specialty occasions. "Whatever the occasion we can pretty much meet your needs," according to Davis.

I had the opportunity to talk with Lacy on my visit.
