The calendar says it's time for a new country album from some of the format's biggest stars, but right now it's newcomers and singer-songwriters filling the 2018 schedule of releases.

We've got reason to believe Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and Florida Georgia Line have new music in the works. Brothers Osborne and Maren Morris all but admitted that 2018 would be their year for new albums. If there's one thing we've learned from Sam Hunt, however, it's that it's not official until it's official.

That's not to say the first few months won't be filled with artistically satisfying projects. Not sure about Caitlyn Smith? Check her Starfire EP out and then consider a full-length of the same name, set for Jan. 19. Miranda Lambert's boyfriend Anderson East has Encore ready for Jan. 12. Hitmakers Lanco and Devin Dawson are ready to debut in January as well, and it will be a February return for Montgomery Gentry. On Feb. 2 they'll release Here's To You, the first album since Troy Gentry's death on Sept. 8.

Bookmark this page for regular updates of new albums set for release in 2018. It's going to be a year filed with country music, we just don't have the details yet.
