New Texas A&M-Texarkana President Affirmed
The Texas A&M Board of Regents as expected have affirmed the selection of Dr. Emily Fourmy Coutrer as the new President of the Texarkana CampusCutrer was selected as sole finalist for the job in December. She will begin her duties on January 15th. Dr. Cutrer previously served at California State University-San Marcos and the University of Texas at Austin.
Texas A&M-Texarkana became a four year university in the fall of 2010 and the sampus continues to expand. Student enrollment is on the rise approaching 2,000. It is one of the fastest growing universities in the state of Texas.
