Older Drivers Are Safer Than We Think [POLL]

Ok, it seems like every week we read about a senior citizen who drove into the side of a building or crashed their vehicle thru a window. But did you know older drivers are actually the more safer drivers on the streets.

There always seems to be a perception that if you are an older driver, your really the worst driver. Think again, according to the latest figures from the Florida Dept. of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, motorists 80 or older had a crash rate of 90 per 10,000 licensed drivers in 2010, compared with 347 crashes per 10,000 drivers for those ages 15 to 24.

Everyone is always saying these days more accidents are happening because of texting while driving, just the other day I was traveling down I-30 and saw some guy reading the NEWSPAPER while driving.
