I maybe partial to Paul McCartney, being a huge fan of him and the Beatles since I was 6 years old, but Paul seriously rocked it last Saturday night at CenturyLink Center in Bossier City, LA.

When Paul walked on stage and hit the first unmistakable cord of A Hard Day's Night on his guitar, the party was on and it didn't stop for nearly three hours. Paul just turned 75 last month (June 18) and he proved he can run circles around anyone half his age.

He performed 39 songs in all. Yes, I said 39 songs. I lasted two entire songs before the tears came rolling down my face. When he started into Can't Buy Me Love my tears started and basically didn't stop all evening.

With his One on One Tour, McCartney really does make it an intimate occasion even with a packed house of 14,000 people. He told some great stories about John, George and Ringo, but he also told a few stories about Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and the Rolling Stones.

There is no doubt in my mind that everyone had a great time seeing this legend and seeing him perform his heart out.  My husband at one point said, you can really tell that he loves performing for his fans. And we love him for it.

Someone asked me why I was so emotional throughout the show. I explained, one of my earliest memories is sitting in the back of our family station wagon. I was only 3 or 4 years old, but I remember hearing Hey Jude on the radio and I loved it. I also remember hearing Let It Be at an early age too. It wasn't until a couple of years later when I was 6 that I was actually conscious of who the Beatles were. They had broken up by that time but, I started collecting their albums. By the time I was in high school I had collected all of their U.S.release and a lot of imports albums as well. So, as you can see Paul, John, George and Ringo along with Paul's work with Wings and his solo work have really been the soundtrack of my life.
