After reading all 267 pages of the Penn State report released last week, there is now no doubt... Joe Pa knew.

The report is quite an eye opener for those who may have been on the fence regarding Joe Pa's role in this scandal.  It's now painfully obvious that, not only did Joe know, he was involved in keeping Sandusky's actions under wraps.

It's unfortunate, but the legacy of Joe Paterno has been tarnished forever due to his own complacency/neglect/bad judgement in the Sandusky scandal. I hate it for his family, I hate it for the Penn State (and college football) fans who adore(d) the man, but it's reality.

The statue in front of Beaver Stadium must go.

The man willingly allowed a pedophile to continue to run free on the Penn State campus. He willingly allowed Sandusky to continue coaching through the 1999 season. He did absolutely nothing to stop Sandusky from preying on young boys.

The statue in front of Beaver Stadium must go.

Yes, Paterno built that program over the years. Yes, he's been a great influence in the lives of many young men. But, his role in this scandal also led to the downfall of the Penn State program. Whether the program is shut down or not, Penn State football will not recover from this scandal overnight.
