It didn't take long for Bobby Petrino to find a practice field to pace.

The Birmingham News is reporting Petrino has spent the last couple of days watching the University of Alabama-Birmingham's practices. Of course, the Head Coach at UAB is no stranger to Petrino. It's Arkansas' former offensive coordinator, Garrick McGee, who left Petrino's staff earlier this year.

There are other coaches at UAB who are familiar with Coach Petrino. Offensive coordinator Jeff Brohm served under Petrino at Louisville, defensive coordinator Reggie Johnson was Petrino's linebacker coach at Louisville and Arkansas. In addition, UAB safeties coach Brandon Sharp and tight ends coach Richard Owens played for Petrino at Louisville and served as graduate assistants on Arkansas' staff.
