PG Pirates to Play for Youth State Baseball Championship

The PG Pirates 10-u youth baseball team has made it to the state championship game in Texas.

The Pirates will play for the title this evening at 6 p.m. in Temple. Coach Chad Blain’s team is the only unbeaten team in the double elimination tournament. The Pirates have won by scores of 10-0, 9-8, & 11-0 to make it to Championship night.

In yesterday’s 11-0 shut out of Whitney, Nathaniel Henry pitched a complete game shut out and Alex Murphy homered for PG. The Pirates will have two shots at winning the state championship seeing that they go into tonight with no losses in the double elimination tournament.
