Pine Tree was able to defeat Texas High 3-0 in a district match-up Tuesday at Tiger Field.

The score was 0-0 going into the top of the third when Christopher Chadwick blasted a double to centerfield. Blake Adams came all the way around from first base to score on the play. Chadwick later scored on a double to left field off the bat of Pine Tree first baseman Andrew Lee. The Pirates added another run in the seventh inning when Blake Adams scored on a passed ball to make the score 3-0.

The Tigers struggled at the plate, striking out ten times in the game. Ryan Fant, Marshall McPherson, Braden Herman, and Trevor Danley each had singles for Texas High.

John Cravey had the win on the mound for the Pirates. Marshall McPherson took the loss for the Tigers.

Texas High won the JV game 9-6.

Kyrion Williams hit a three run home run for the Tigers, Kip Williams had three singles, and Colton Russell had a double and a single to lead Texas High. Zane Fudge had a 2 run home run for the Pirates.

The Tigers will travel to Sulpher Springs Friday for a district game against the Wildcats.
