The first ever "Beauty and The Badge" fundraiser presented by the non-profit organization Pink Behind the Thin Blue Line was held at the Elks Lodge on Friday, March 10. Approximately 15 law enforcement officers went undercover dressed as women in this fun-filled night.

A great crowd turned out to cheer on their favorite officers as they walked across the stage in high heels, dresses and makeup. The event featured a baked potato supper, silent auction, a magic show from Darryl Miller and a dance solo from Liberty-Eylau student Shelby Ross. The event raised $7,000 to help two police officers' families struggling with medical costs.

"We want to thank everyone in our community for coming out in support of this event and to all the police officers who donated their time to be a part of this fundraiser, said, Event Coordinator Christy Pettit."

While I was waiting for the judges' decisions, I had a little time to talk with some of the contestants.
