Dwayne Johnson’s last big screen adaptation of a game, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, has been king of the box office for two weekends in a row now. It’s safe to assume that the people like The Rock (I mean, duh), and the people especially like when The Rock uses his giant biceps to play adventurous games. Luckily for those craving more, Johnson has another game adaptation on the way, with bigger and wilder challenges.

Based on the 1986 arcade game, Rampage finds Johnson’s primatologist battling a series of monstrous animals as they wreck havoc across cities. So it’s sort of like San Andreas with giant mutated animals and all the quippy humor Johnson got to play with in Jumanji. In the latest TV spot his BFF George, a gorilla, suddenly become huge after a science experiment. Then a handful of other genetically-enhanced zoo animals become monster sized. There’s a flying wolf with wings, and some kind of crocodile thing that looks like Godzilla. But it’s all good; The Rock and his two big arms will save us all.

Here’s the full synopsis:

Primatologist Davis Okoye (Johnson), a man who keeps people at a distance, shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth.  But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry mutates this gentle ape into a raging creature of enormous size.  To make matters worse, it’s soon discovered there are other similarly altered animals.  As these newly created alpha predators tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote, fighting his way through an ever-changing battlefield, not only to halt a global catastrophe but to save the fearsome creature that was once his friend.

Rampage also stars Naomi Harris, who mostly looks at Johnson incredulously and says dialogue to sets up his punch lines, along with Malin Akerman, Joe Manganiello (more big biceps to help out!), and Jake Lacy. The Rock vs. Mutated Zoo Animals hits theaters April 20, which is a pretty perfect day to experience this movie if you ask me.
