Could you imagine if Randy Houser hung up his guitar after his high school days?

Randy Houser is quite a talented guy and I can't get enough of his voice. The man can sing. Music runs through his soul and he started making music at a very young age. At a recent intimate show, Houser did some storytelling about himself. He began playing as a little boy and it has always been a passion of his.

"I didn't get into this in high school to pick up chicks. I just didn't know how to do anything else."

So how did he get into country music, specifically? Houser spent time roping calves, steer wrestling and competing in team roping, all from which he draws inspiration from. In that same breath, he said he believes that's why country songs come out of him. He certainly didn't believe music would lead him to where he is today.

“Hell, all I ever wanted to be was a half-ass songwriter.”
