We get word today with all the hot weather we have been having the Randy Sams' Outreach Shelter is running dangerously low on water. The public is urged to please donate some bottled water or jug water ASAP in order to meet the needs of the people who need it, according to Jennifer Laurent, Executive Director of the shelter.

Please drop off water at the Randy Sams’ Outreach Shelter, located at 402 Oak Street.

The shelter is always in need of these particular items as well. H.E. (high efficiency) laundry detergent. Very few people realize the amount of detergent they use. Other things that no one thinks about are over-the-counter meds like Tylenol, Advil, aspirin, allergy meds, Tums, BAND-AIDS, peroxide, rubbing alcohol, etc. They do love hotel toiletries as well. Chapstick is also often requested.

But once again, WATER is needed!
