Arkansas Razorbacks offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Garrick McGee is a finalist for the Broyles Award, given annually to the country's top assistant.  The award honors former Arkansas Head Coach Frank Broyles. McGee's is also, reportedly, being courted to be a head coach in Florida.

According to Florida Atlantic's Owl Access Web Site, Coach McGee is having "serious talks" with Florida Atlantic. There's talks that an offer has already been made.

Me personally, I really hope Coach Petrino finds a way to keep McGee on his staff. But, at the same time, Coach McGee has more than paid his dues and is no doubt ready to take on a head coaching job.

Another coach on the Razorbacks staff, special teams coordinator John L. Smith  is also rumored to be in the mix for a head coaching job. The Salt Lake Tribune is reporting Coach Smith is a candidate for the head coaching vacancy at Weber State.

More details as they become available.
