Arkansas fans showed up in record numbers Saturday to show their support for the team. Saturdays annual red/white game was the third highest attended spring game in the nation and second only to Alabama in the SEC.

Official attendance Saturday was 45,250, over 3 thousand more than last year and they were treated to an offensive show, by the red team at least.

The red team put up 65 points on the white team Saturday, scoring on 10 of 11 possessions. The best drive of the day for the white team was only 7 plays.

Heisman Trophy hopeful Tyler Wilson ended the day completing 31 of 41 passes for 467 yards and two touchdowns.

Former Arkansas High standout Dennis Johnson carried the ball 12 times for 72 yards for the red team and scored a touchdown. He also showed his leadership by giving the pregame pep talk on the field after warmups (something the coach usually handles).

Texas High's Cobi Hamilton led all receivers, hauling in 11 catches for 156 yards.

Will Jeff Long make announcement today regarding a new Razorback Head Coach?

That's a good possibility. On Saturday, he was quoted by ESPN as saying the coaching search would be concluded in "days, not weeks." This morning, rumors are rampant that there will be a press conference at 7:15 this evening to announce the new coach. As soon as I get confirmation I'll update this post.
