I still remember the first time my husband told me he loved me. It was the most romantic thing that had ever happened to me. He's the only man who has had a chance to say those words to me and I will never take them for granted. Now, if he had said "just kidding" afterward I would have been heartbroken. It also would have been super awkward.

Well, Sam Hunt accidentally professed his love to a girl. And she called him out!

He recalled the incident in a recent interview. It was right around Valentine's Day a few years back and he had just started dating the girl. She went to Honduras on a mission trip. He wrote her a letter in Spanish and accidentally told her he loved her in that language.

Is it not fairly common knowledge that "te amo" means I love you?

I'm not sure how you recover from an accident like that, but he said it was awkward when she called him out on it. Clearly, the two aren't together anymore. However, if they get back together and get married in the future, it will make for an adorable story.
