Research Says You Look Better From Your Left Side [POLL]

Do you know your best side for photographs? Movie stars and models do and I'm pretty sure you do too! Is it your left or right side? Don't worry about looking in the mirror or old pictures because research from Wake Forest University shows:

Both men and women are perceived as more attractive when pictured on their left side as opposed to their right.

They suggest the difference might be due to a greater intensity of emotion exhibited on our left sides.

The strange thing is, looks like this has been known for centuries, dating back to portrait oil paintings. The artist would paint his subject with a slight tilt of the head to show more of the left side of the face! Wonder if paintings of the Mona Lisa and the Girl with a Pearl Earring would be as famous from the right side?
