I love traveling! When I'm traveling through Arkansas I like looking for unique places or attractions that are not too far from Texarkana. One of those places happens to be the Mountain Glory Train Station and Glory Train Ride in Mena, Ark.

Who doesn't love a train ride? What makes this train ride so unique is that it's not your average train ride, because it's a miniature train, a 1952 vintage mini-train. The Glory Train ride in Queen Wilhelmina State Park resides high atop Rich Mountain. This two-mile excursion takes you on a unforgettable ride through the Ouachita mountains with scenic views along the way. You'll be able to capture the scenic beauty of the wooded forests amidst tall trees, and don't be surprised if you see some wildlife along the way.

The Mountain Glory Train Ride runs mainly in the Spring and Summer with other special dates throughout the year, check their Facebook page for more information. Cost of the train is $6.50 for adults and 3 and under ride free. Any civil service member, military, teacher or nurse, and anyone 50+, ride for $5.50.

The Mountain Glory Train Station also features miniature golf, an Ice Cream Parlor and horse shoe venues. The Mountain Glory Train Station is located on 3897 Highway 88 (Directions Here)

So with Spring right around the corner, why not plan a weekend to stay at Queen Wilhelmina State Park/Lodge and take a ride on the Mountain Glory Train. All Aboard!
