When Greg Biffle showed up at Texas Motor Speedway he was the points leader.  He started the Samsung Mobile 500 as points leader, and after a victory Saturday night, he left Texas as the Sprint Cup points leader, and Roush Fenway Racing had swept the weekend in Ft. Worth with wins in both the Nationwide Series Friday, and Biffle’s win in the Sprint Cup Race.

Texas Motor Speedway is an awesome facility, just imagine, 4 Cowboy Stadiums can fit in the infield, and Saturday nights Samsung Mobile 500 was the largest single day sporting event in the State of Texas.  The glory this weekend was all Roush Racing with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. winning Friday night in the Nationwide O’Reilly 300, and Greg’s win in the Samsung Mobile 500.

Greg Biffle (I believe) was saving his stuff for a last minute run for the checkered flag in Saturday’s Samsung Mobile 500, and he could not have timed it out more perfect than he did.

Johnson led the most laps at 156, and Biffle passed him for the lead with only 30 laps remaining in the 334 lap race.  Biffle managed to hold on to the lead for his 17th Cup Career victory, 2nd at Texas Motor Speedway, and held his lead in the point standings.

The top 5 finishers were 1) Greg Biffle, 2) Jimmie Johnson, 3) Mark Martin, 4) Jeff Gordon, and 5) Matt Kenseth.

Some of the most exciting racing I got to see this weekend happened in the hotel parking lot with some of the guys from the Dodge SRT Racing Team…

Next up is the 1.5 mile Kansas Speedway, and the STP 400.  Brad Keselowski won this race in 2011.  The race is Sunday, and will be broadcast on FOX at 11:30am central.
