Sacred Harp singing is a form of singing that was developed in the 19th century to teach people how to sing. The singing is all done acapella without the use of musical instruments. It is a unique singing style that is still practiced throughout the south. It is very likely that it was practiced in the Ark-La-Tex region around in the early 19th century by different church groups.

More information on Sacred Harp singing can be found at their website.

No singing experience is required. All are welcome to attend. Songs books will be provided. For more information you can contact the church by phone at 870-703-8256.
