I can't say I am one of her biggest fans, but Sarah Silverman leaves her comedy out of it with a heart tugging tribute to her dog "Duck". Bless her heart.

The comedian wrote an emotional obituary for her dog, Duck. She made the hardest decision for her friend earlier this week. Silverman, who owned Duck for 14 years, will tug on your heart strings while she relives what the pooch meant to her, especially with the end of the obit:

14 years.
My longest relationship.
My only experience of maternal love.
My constant companion.
My best friend.
Duck."

It's probably the most poignant tribute given to a dog by a celebrity since the late Jimmy Stewart discussed his dog, Beau, on 'The Tonight Show.' Check it out below:

I still think that one of the best tributes to a lost fur-buddy was from Cowboy Poet Baxter Black when he lost a dear friend to his family. I used his poem, under photos of my best good friend Cletus. I still miss him.
