Don't get us wrong, they are beautiful.

Scotty McCreery just dropped the video for his new song "Southern Belle." The video is full of school spirit and showcases cheer squads from Bellmont and Lipscomb Universities in Nashville. In an interview with Rolling Stone, he opened up about why he chose to put them in the video and it's not just because they are easy on the eyes.

"Obviously they're pretty and everything, which is awesome, but it's showcasing how strong they are."

He wanted to showcase their inherent strength, instead of just focusing on them being eye candy. He even made a stance on whether or not cheerleading should be considered a sport.

"Anyone who doesn't think cheerleading is a sport, I laugh. I played baseball my whole life and I couldn't flip or twirl."

At just 22 years old, Scotty is learning more and more about women and their resiliency. It's about time someone noticed, right ladies?
