Several Texas Cities Considered 'Most Recession-Recovered' [LIST]

Chalk one up for Texas when it comes to resilience.

For many of us, 2017 has a beacon of light shining on it. Numerologists claim that this year will be filled with new beginnings since the sum of all numbers in 2017 is 10. The '1' in that sum means a fresh start. We can certainly say things look better than they did in 2008. This is when our country was in a recession.

2009 is when we came out of that.

Some cities have rebounded better than others, especially in the state of Texas. According to WalletHub, Texas had multiple cities on their top five for large, midsize and small lists. The site measured 505 cities in the US and looked at the number of college-educated people entering the workforce, the number of households living on public assistance, the number of people who owned homes in that city and more.

The most recovered large cities are:

1. Austin, Texas

2. Denver, Colorado

3. El Paso, Texas

4. Fort Worth, Texas

5. Corpus Christi, Texas

The most recovered mid-sized cities are:

1. Brownsville, Texas

2. Macon-Bibb, Georgia

3. Sunnyvale, California

4. Killeen, Texas

5. Denton, Texas
