Shakespeare in The Park at Old Washington State Park

Shakespeare is coming to Old Washington State Park, Ark. Friday, January 30 and Saturday, January 31 in the 1940 WPA Gym.Enjoy two evening performances by the American Shakespeare Center of Staunton, Va. The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. with a pre-show performance at 7 p.m.

On Friday, January 30, the comedy "Much Ado About Nothing" will be performed, and on Saturday, January 31, the tragedy "Hamlet" will be presented. Four afternoon workshops on Saturday are available, covering topics such as how to perform Shakespeare on the modern stage.

Call ahead to reserve tickets, which may be picked up at the 1874 Courthouse Visitor Center. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 6-12. Tickets may be purchased by calling 870- 983-2684.
