The Junior League of Texarkana is proud to debut its newest project, "Clothes for a Cause." An extension of the bi-annual Shoes for the Soul event with Payless Shoe Source, the Junior League has partnered with Target to provide children not only shoes but also a new outfit including pants, shirts, socks and undergarments.

“This year, we are thrilled to announce the addition of "Clothes for a Cause" through a partnership with Target. An effort, years in the making, on Saturday, April 9, from 10AM until 2PM, approximately 175 kids will now also receive a new outfit. The Junior League of Texarkana is committed to ensuring that children receive the opportunities and services essential to building the confidence and self-worth needed to fulfill their full potential,” said Monica Bruner, Junior League Community Vice-President.

Students, identified by their counselors, from Texarkana Independent School District, Texarkana, Arkansas School District, Pleasant Grove Independent School District and Liberty-Eylau Independent School District will be invited to attend.

The event is made possible by generous community partners and the community's support of the Junior League's fundraisers like Mistletoe Fair and Touch-a-Truck.

The Junior League of Texarkana is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
