The St. Louis Cardinals looked nervous and extremely sloppy in losing Game One of the World Series to Boston by a score of 8-1 at Fenway Park last night.Three errors helped the Sox cause as did a big double play. The Cardinals were trying to get back into the game trailing 5-0 and loaded the bases with David Freese up to hit. However instead of a key hit to get them rolling an inning ending double play basically put the seal on the Boston victory.

The pressure is now squarely on St. Louis to try and win Game Two before the series shifts to Missouri for the next three games. The Cardinals will turn to former Pleasant Grove star Michael Wacha to turn the momentum in their favor. Wacha's last four starts have been outstanding.

Here's hoping he has another terrific night and the Cardinals bats and defensive play come alive. Otherwise we may be looking at a repeat of 2004 when the Sox swept the Cards out of the series.

I hope that is not the case. Let's go Wacha, Let's go Cards!!!
