The Texas Department of Transportation is now in the process of changing speed limit signs on Interstate 30 in Northeast Texas. The speed limit is now being bumped up from 70 to 75 miles and hour from East of Rockwall to just west of Texarkana. The signs in Bowie County began changing this week. The faster speed limits were approved earlier this year and did not actually go into effect until the signs were changed, which just occurred in the past few days across our area.

Department of Public Safety Troopers remind you to watch for the proper speed limit signs and to not drive above what is posted.
