The following post contains SPOILERS for the end of Spider-Man Homecoming.

The final scene of Spider-Man: Homecoming sees Peter Parker get exactly what he thought he wanted: The validation and acceptance of Tony Stark, and a spot on the Avengers. Stark even offers him a new, even fancier version of the Spider-Man costume he made for him in Captain: America: Civil War. But be careful what you wish for and all of that. Peter realizes he’s not quite ready for big-time superheroing. He decides to listen to Tony Stark‘s advice all along, and to remain a “friendly neighborhood Spider-Man” for a little while longer. He walks away from the offer, and from Tony’s cool new Spidey costume.

Hope you don’t want to be all friendly and neighborhood-bound for too long, Pete. You’re going to be a featured player in Marvel’s next epic Avengers adventure, Infinity War. And as the new poster that Marvel is giving away today at their booth at San Diego Comic-Con confirms, even though Peter turned down Tony’s offer in Homecoming, he’s going to put on that costume at some point in the new film — because he’s wearing it in this poster. Take a look for yourself:

While it’s not the clearest angle on the costume, the yellow lines between the red and blue panels are a dead giveaway that this Spidey has been upgraded; his current costume doesn’t have any yellow in it at all. Supposedly the Infinity War trailer that Marvel showed off at D23 last weekend showed off more of this new costume. It’s almost a guarantee they’ll screen it again this weekend at Comic-Con, but will they put it online too? Either way, Avengers: Infinity War opens in theaters on May 4, 2018. By next year’s Comic-Con, we will have all seen it. 😮
