The weather may not be very spring-like, but it is time to spring forward into daylight savings time this weekend. To stay on time, you will need to move your clocks forward one hour when going to bed Saturday night. So, you will lose one hour sleep.

The change in time will allow it to be lighter longer in the evenings, however, the sun will rise later in the mornings.

Changing clock time is also a good opportunity to check or replace batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Remember a working smoke detector can save you and your family's life if a fire ever happens at your home.

Daylight savings time will last until the first week in November, when we will then fall back to standard time and get that hour of sleep back.
