Harvest Texarkana is helping to Stamp Out Hunger! Please help Texarkana make this special day a huge success. On Saturday, May 11, 2013, please donate non-perishable food items. There are several ways to help out and places to drop off your food donations--read on for more information.

Donate items like canned meats, fish, soup, vegetables; bottled juice, pasta, cereal and rice that do not require refrigeration. Please do not include items that have expired or are in glass containers.

If you do not receive a donation bag, food donation items can still be left at your mailbox before Saturday's pick up time. If it is raining please use plastic bags like the ones you get at the grocery store.

How You Can Help:

1. Place non-perishable food products in a bag

2. Leave at your mailbox on Saturday, May 11th

3. Your letter carrier will pick up and deliver to local food banks or pantries.

Stamp Out Hunger Day is the largest Single Day Food Drive in the Nation.

Spread the word - this food drive will keep many individuals, men, women and children fed through the spring and summer months. No one wants to be hungry, sometimes there is no choice.

If you're looking for a special gift for your mom on Mother's Day, consider donating to Harvest Texarkana in her honor. You can simply click here to donate online or call 870-774-1398. We will then send a card in their honor. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there that make a difference in our lives every day!

Cereal Drive - Fairfield Inn & Suites is having a Cereal Drive for Harvest Texarkana! Drop off boxes are located at Express Employment, State Bank of Texarkana, Bi-State Justice Center, AMI Radio, and American Classifieds. Cereal is much needed as we enter the summer months and students are without school breakfast.

Dollar General Food Drive - For the month of May, local Dollar General stores will be participating in a food drive that will benefit Harvest Texarkana. Donation boxes to collect are located in every store near the check out.

Donate to Harvest Texarkana - They cannot exist without generous donations from the public. Donations may be sent by mail or through secured PayPal or Credit Card donations. Please visit our website for more information: HarvestTexarkana.org
