Steven Tyler is Leaving ‘American Idol’

Been lots of talk lately about whether or not Jennifer Lopez is leaving ‘Idol’.  Now, Steven Tyler has beat her to it, and he is officially OUT as a judge on ‘American Idol’.

In a statement released by FOX, Tyler says,

After some long…hard…thoughts…I’ve decided it’s time for me to let go of my mistress ‘American Idol’ before she boils my rabbit,” said Tyler.  “I strayed from my first love, Aerosmith, and I’m back, but instead of begging on my hands and knees, I’ve got two fists in the air and I’m kicking the door open with my band.”

Jennifer Lopez, and Randy Jackson are still judges… for now.

(I wonder if they have considered Stevie Nicks… only because she could use the same “Gypsy Wolf Breeder Wardrobe as Tyler.)
